{A}bsolutely the Best Spring Break Ever!!

NewImage
If you've been reading my blog for a while, you know I babysit two kiddos after school and on holidays.  I've been babysitting for two years to help pay for Emma's competitive dance. This year, my 'kiddos' went to San Diego for Spring Break.  Know what that means?  It means I had a spring BREAK!  I mean, I really had a break!  It was the best spring break EVER!

Our spring break started Friday, March 8. This was my Facebook status as I sat down to do some school with Em that morning…  "Yay for Spring Break which starts in just 4 short hours!!! Decided yesterday not to travel to Cincinnati. We're gonna stay home and enjoy some family time, watch lots of movies, take lots of naps, hang with friends, and RELAX!!" I headed out at lunch time to pick Isaac up from his half-day of school, and it was ON!

We did exactly what I planned! The kids had sleepovers almost every night - whether the kids' friends were here or mine were sleeping over there.  Sleepovers = "me" time.  :)  While the kids are entertained (or at a friend's house) I can do "me" things.  I watched several new movies - The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Breaking Dawn Parts 1 & 2.  I took a quite a few naps.  {That was oh so nice!!}  I am almost caught up on Season 3 of Vampire Diaries.  While I watched my shows and movies, I crocheted. I found a new pattern a short while ago, and I decided to give it a try this week.

The kids and I had some fun together, too. I watched Wreck It Ralph with Isaac and Emma. I also watched Argo with Isaac.  (I don't typically enjoy that type of movie, but it was actually pretty good.)  I enjoyed just hanging with them this week.  I also took them to the movies to watch "Oz the Great and Powerful". It was a pretty cute movie, as well.

We made some progress on the house, too.  We cleaned the entire downstairs. I'm all caught up on the laundry - everybody's! I cleaned both the hamster and guinea pig cages. I even made some headway in the garage. Logan and Isaac took a trunkful of 'junk' to the Goodwill a trunkful of books to Half-Priced Books (where I made almost $50)!

I have not one picture from the week.  I really did just relax.  We all did!!
